Ruby on Rails a breakthrough?

Well my team mate, jason is trying to conducting a study on ruby on rails that he thinks we could possibly make use of this ruby on rails technology for fast deployment of web applications we are currently working at, particularly online communities, ruby on rails really seems to be a fast way to develop such web applications.

Although i havent got my hands on ruby on rails yet, i think somehow, i'll give it a try later.

What is Ruby on Rails?
Ruby is a programming language like that of php, perl python and most others, rails on the otherhand is like an engine (i suppose). Ruby on Rails therefore was a framework based on the two mentioned. :D
